Hunter learns to ride his bike!

Trinity has been able to ride her bike for a while now, but Hunter refused to learn to pedal when he could scoot along on his plastic motorbike.

A couple of weekends ago he finally mastered pedalling and we went for a picnic with Aunty Sara-James and Evan, plus Nanny and Poppy at the park.... we took the bikes and Hunter and Trinity had a great time.

They rode along the waterfront and pedalled to their heart's content.

The playground at the park was pretty good too!!

Two weeks into my new job

Well I have started with a new company called Corpnet.  (http://www.corpnet.com.au)

Lots of great people in a company fast expanding.  I have start as SMB Practice Manager and it looks like we are in for some fun in the next twelve months.

On a personal front, I haven't had the boat out much this year.  It is just now starting to get cold again.  In the next month or two I might try and put the boat in Dad's shed and sand and repaint her.  Fresh coat of paint ready for next season might just be what the doctor ordered.

Trinity lost her first tooth this week.  Boy is she growing up now.   I think this Dad is going to definitely have to buy a shotgun to keep those boys at bay.

Kid's first camping trip

We have only just come back from Sommerset Dam.  It was our kid's first ever camping trip.  Nice 3 day, 2 night, trip away that allowed us to drink some wine, put our feet up and let the kids go nuts.
They had a ball, as did we.
Can't wait to do it again.

Dear oh dear... haven't we been slack!

No updates here for some time.  That is very slack of us.  Well, we have been busy.  Been in our new house in Upper Coomera now for over a year, I have changed jobs (twice) and we are now running our own business as well.  (See: http://www.feetuponline.com)

I promise, I really will try to keep this updated a little more often!  ;-)

Until then, ciao for now.

Hunter and his friend Jessie

Jessie and HunterWe had some friends over for dinner the other night.  Their daughter Jessie is a friend of Hunter's from day care.  Boy, did they have fun.

Hobart to Gold Coast on Water

My uncle recently offered me the privellege of being deck hand on his 63 foot Jetboat "Double Trouble".
The trip was to deliver the boat from Hobart to Gold Coast.   Unfortunately, time was not on my side so I was only able to make the Hobart to Sydney leg.
What an experience!
This is something that I will never forget and it has given me stories that will last a lifetime.

We are all moved now...

Well,  we have been in the house a couple of weeks.  As of yesterday I finally got the garage sorted out and both cars in.  Joanne has got the last couple of pictures up.

So now we call Upper Coomera, QLD home.

I have uploaded some more photos in our album.

Nana and Opa's visit

We recently had a visit from Joannne's Mum and Cor... the kid's Nana and Opa.   Thought we would put up some photos from their trip

Thankyou Margaret and Cor for all your help during the house move... we couldn't have coped near as well without you.

... and we miss you already!

Kent launches "The List"

I have great trouble prioritising items that I see and do or do not need. In agreement with my wife, I decided to create myself a list of the items I see day to day and think that I either need, or maybe just want.

Joanne can then ask, next time I demand that I need something, where does it sit on my list of priorities.

Good idea in theory, I will keep you posted on how it goes in practice.

By the way, list is a work in progress!  ;-)

The list, as it stands today...

Posted By Pixies Launched

Joanne has just launched her Posted by Pixies business.  It is an online business that delivers to kids a letter from the Pixies each month by standard post.
This is a great gift idea for little girls in your family that already have every toy imaginable.  This gives them their very own Pixie Pen Pal for the next 12 months.  A great idea.
We did the web design together and you can see it all at http://www.postedbypixies.com
